Autarco LQH-series RS485 wiring

This page describes the communication with an Autarco LqH-series hybrid inverter over Modbus-RTU (rs485). By default, the inverter is set to address 1. The RS485 communication happens over a RJ45 interface called located on the bottom of the inverter behind a protective plate. The exact position is marked in the orange box in the image below:

The pin definition of the RS485 Port is following (EIA/TIA 568B):
- RS485A on Pin 5: blue/white
- RS485B on Pin 4: blue

NOTE: RS485 Device Addresses
- You MUST give each device on the RS485 bus a unique address. Check the manual of the device on how to do this.
- Use lower addresses first (1, 2, ...) because the Sofar EMS will find them faster!
- For each device, it is generally recommended to stick with the factory default baud rate, parity, and stop bits. The Sofar EMS will scan on those first.
After a successful RS485 connection and communication with the Sofar EMS over the Modbus-RTU protocol, the Autarco inverter will now show a new blue icon on its status indicator panel:
