VPP onboarding checklist

Use this checklist to collect the information required for technical intake and onboarding.

Site and commercial identification

• Site name
• Requested go-live date
• Portfolio, balancing group, and trader/BRP/BSP assignment, where applicable

Assets and grid connection

• Asset type: PV, battery, EV charging, heat pump, or controllable load
• Manufacturer, exact model, firmware version, and number of devices
• Nominal power in kW; for batteries, also include usable capacity in kWh, minimum and maximum state of charge (SoC), and charge/discharge limits
• Grid-meter make and model, plus the maximum grid-connection power
• Device protocol or register documentation when a custom integration is required; also submit this information through the Eniris integration request form

Connectivity

• Connection route: a SmartgridOne controller, the customer's EMS, an API, or the manufacturer's platform
• Controller serial number if a controller is already installed
• Available interface or protocol, for example Modbus TCP/RTU, SunSpec, API, or MQTT
• Internet and network setup, including firewall restrictions and the responsible network contact
• MQTT connectivity: availability of ports 1883 or 8883 and the required TLS and security setup

VPP control and data

• Controllable devices or groups and the agreed power or set-point convention
• Command frequency and required response time
• Fallback behaviour and timeout if the external signal is lost
• Required real-time feedback and historical data, including units and timestamps
• Availability and health signals, including the KPIs required per battery or site
