Distinguish PR, expected-production comparisons and explicit contractual targets.
Several performance comparisons can appear in Unify. They answer different questions and should not be substituted for each other.
| Comparison | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| PR | How does measured production relate to capacity and irradiation? |
| Production versus expectation | How does measured energy compare with the available expected-production series? |
| Target realization | How do measured PR and availability compare with their explicitly configured targets? |
Open the relevant site or device, then Properties. Inspect installed DC capacity, PV configuration and theoretical ideal production settings. Enter values from the installation design or agreed production plan, using the units and applicable periods shown in the form. Save and review the result over a completed period.
Measured and expected production are compared over intervals where both are available. The ratio expresses measured production relative to expectation. The difference is measured minus expected production. The shortfall adds the positive expected-minus-measured differences over comparable intervals.
That shortfall is not an automatic classification of loss causes. Weather-model mismatch, outages, measurement gaps, curtailment and configuration issues need separate investigation. Coverage indicates the comparable intervals, not plant availability.
The targets module compares measured PR and availability with explicitly configured percentage targets covering the full selected period. Differences are expressed in percentage points. For example, an 82% PR against an 85% target is 3 percentage points below target. If no applicable complete target exists, it does not silently invent one. The Group contractuals MTD template provides this comparison, but contractual exceptions are not processed in that module.
Use a completed period for a final review. Month-to-date is suitable for progress monitoring; it is still a partial month. A percentage target that applies to another period is not automatically an appropriate month-to-date baseline. Production-plan energy targets and PR/availability targets have different units and should not be interchanged.
Measured results and configured targets appear side by side. Targets must be supplied for the period you are reviewing. Fictional demonstration data.
Check the selected device, capacity, units, target validity dates and measurement coverage. If the energy series itself contains spikes, repair or investigate that issue independently rather than lowering the target to make the percentage look plausible.
