SolarEdge inverters – API (Grid Services)
Onboarding new sites via the SolarEdge API is currently not possible. We are working on enabling this again in the future.
The API is only available for Cloud controllers.
The SolarEdge Grid API driver works at site level: once the gateway is connected, all inverters registered on the same SolarEdge monitoring site become visible. Below are the models we frequently encounter – any other SolarEdge inverter should behave identically.

Prerequisite: your SolarEdge site must already send data to the SolarEdge monitoring portal (
monitoring.solaredge.com).
The inverters can be controlled by setting the maximum power to a percentage of the inverter's nominal power.
If a SolarEdge Grid Meter is connected to the inverter, the inverter can be set to self-consumption. This ensures that no energy is injected back into the grid, but enough is produced to compensate for consumption.
