Prepare datalogger export, request Eniris FTP credentials and verify measurements in SmartgridX.
CSV monitoring requires the customer or installer to configure automatic export on the datalogger. Creating a connection in SmartgridX does not configure the logger or start its uploads.
For another logger, send Eniris its exact model, firmware, export manual and a sample file. Eniris must confirm its format and delivery method before activation. CSV is a file format, not a guarantee that every CSV-producing device is compatible. Files supplied by a grid operator, manual historical imports and exports from SmartgridX to another platform follow separate workflows.
Provide the company and contact person, site name and address, logger model and serial number, firmware, time zone, installation and device identifiers, requested measurements and upload frequency. State which devices may be included and which must be excluded. For SMA, provide the rated peak power of the largest PV installation in kWp so Eniris can configure spike filtering.
Nominate an installer who has permission to change the datalogger settings and can reach its local interface. Send an unmodified sample export with a description of units and timestamps. State which SmartgridX / Insights account should receive the data.
Eniris must provision the destination before the installer configures recurring uploads. Request the following for this connection:
| Setting | Supplied or confirmed by Eniris |
|---|---|
| Destination | Server hostname and port |
| Transport | FTP, FTPS or SFTP, including supported security settings |
| Authentication | Dedicated username and password |
| Remote directory | Exact destination folder; leave blank only if instructed |
| Export | Supported file format/version, filename convention and upload interval |
| Network | Outbound access requirements, including data connections where applicable |
These credentials are separate from the manufacturer's monitoring portal account. Transfer them using the secure channel agreed with Eniris. FTP, FTPS and SFTP are different protocols; the logger and destination must support the same one. Do not change encryption settings by trial and error.
Open its local interface, confirm that current measurements are present and that the clock is correct. Use the model-specific guide above to enable recurring export with the issued settings. Preserve existing settings and check with the site owner before replacing a destination used by another service. If the model has no supported export option, ask Eniris to confirm another data route.
Run the logger's connection or report test where available, then wait for an actual measurement file. Keep recurring export enabled. File delivery is limited by the logger's recording and upload intervals; a SmartgridX worker cannot retrieve data that has not been uploaded.
Record the upload time and result. Ask Eniris to confirm a new file in the assigned folder and measurements in the correct Insights account. Compare device IDs, timestamps, units and values with the logger. Check another scheduled upload to confirm that recurring delivery works. The initial SmartgridX retrieval can only process files that have already arrived.
If no file arrives, check the issued destination, credentials, folder and network access. If a file arrives without measurements, send Eniris the filename, logger model, export settings and affected time range. Keep passwords out of screenshots.
