Use an energy target when an approved forecast or budget exists for the same installation boundary and period. Monthly targets are usually more useful than one annual number because they preserve the seasonal profile.
PR compares production with installed capacity and irradiation. Before using a PR target, verify:
Define uptime against the operating window in which the asset is expected to be available. Excluding night-time or planned maintenance may be appropriate, but the rule must be documented and consistent with reporting.
Use the same target screen to review the selected node, target type, period, and configured value before saving.
Do not mix expectation and warranty
A business forecast and a contractual guarantee can use different assumptions. Store them in the appropriate group and explain the difference to report recipients.
