Assign people to SmartgridX roles and understand how access is derived.
The current portal manages access by assigning email addresses to roles. The user table groups members by role, supports searching by role name or email address, and paginates large organisations.
Search by role or member, add people to the correct scope, and remove only the membership you intend to revoke. All addresses and role names shown here are examples.

| Member | An email address assigned to that role. |
| Device authority | The resulting relationship on a device, such as visitor, installer, or administrator. |
| Page settings | The final filter that determines which sections that authority may see. |
Adding an email address updates the membership of the selected role. Removing a member requires confirmation and the interface offers a short undo window. Removing your own access can immediately change or end the current session.
Role names are organisation-specific
The application reads roles from the metadata service; it does not rely on one universal list of hard-coded role names. Use the role's actual scope and rights—not only its label—to decide where a person belongs.
