Beta support overview

In beta and available on request. The additions in this overview require the matching integration or controller update and are not confirmed as part of the standard customer release. Request them through your existing Eniris support conversation. The status applies to these additions, not to every existing function of the devices listed elsewhere on this page.

Configuration

After the electrical installation of a charger is complete, follow these steps to configure communication with the Sofar EMS.

MaxiCharger DC Compact and DC Fast

Step 1 – Access the Local Service Portal

1. On the charging station’s touchscreen, go to the Home screen.
2. Double-tap the upper-left corner of the screen.
3. Tap Device Maintenance.
4. Enter the password — the last six digits of the serial number found on the product label.

Step 2 – Set Modbus Parameters

1. Tap Set Parameters.
2. Wait for the system to load data.
3. Configure communication settings as follows:

For Modbus TCP (Ethernet)

• OCPP IP: IP of the Sofar EMS (e.g. 192.168.1.100)
• OCPP PORT: 502
• MGR IP / URL / PORT: Optional management platform details
• Running environment: Select correct region (EU, UK, USA, etc.)

For Modbus RTU (RS485)

• Modbus Slave Address: Unique ID (1–247)
• Baud Rate: 9600
• Parity: None
• Data Bits: 8
• Stop Bits: 1

Step 3 – Save and Verify

1. Tap Save. The system will restart with the new settings.
2. Wait for about 1–2 minutes until boot completes.
3. On the Home screen, check the Internet connection icon:
   • ✅ Connected — icon shows a network link
   • ❌ Disconnected — icon shows “x”; check cables or settings

MaxiCharger AC Ultra

Step 1 – Power On and Initial Setup

1. Switch on the power to the charger.
2. The charger will launch the setup wizard.
3. Follow the on-screen steps:
   • Select the language.
   • Connect via Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, or Cellular.
   • Set time zone.
   • Set maximum input current to match grid capacity.

Step 2 – Access the Maintenance Menu

1. On the Standby Screen, tap the currency ($) icon (bottom-left corner).
2. The Cost Details screen will open.
3. Double-tap the top-left corner to enter the maintenance menu.
4. Tap Device Maintenance.
5. Enter the last six digits of the charger’s serial number.

Step 3 – Configure Modbus TCP Settings

1. Tap Set Parameters.

Step 4 – Save and Verify

1. Tap Save to confirm and restart the device.
2. Once restarted, confirm the connection icon shows active network status.

Beta integration details

Autel improvements

A failed Modbus setpoint write is reported as a failed command instead of a successful application. This improves fault visibility; it cannot itself make an unreachable charger accept a command.
