The Sofar EMS supports the Solis grid-tied and hybrid inverter product lines. The two product lines use separate communication protocols. Before we continue, we need to know in which product line your inverter is in.
In beta and available on request. The additions in this overview require the matching integration or controller update and are not confirmed as part of the standard customer release. Request them through your existing Eniris support conversation. The status applies to these additions, not to every existing function of the devices listed elsewhere on this page.

Planning a Modbus TCP connection for a grid-tied inverter? Check the exact datalogger model before going on site. The S2-WL-ST (4-pin) provides the required local Modbus TCP connection on port 502. The S3-WIFI-ST is a Wi-Fi-only logger and cannot be used for this connection. See the grid-tied Solis instructions for the compatibility check and commissioning steps.

Understanding the difference between inverter types
Go to the official Solis website. Lookup your model in either the 'Hybrid & Off Grid Inverters' or 'Grid Tie Inverters' section, marked by the blue arrows in the image below.
If your model is not listed under the 'Hybrid & Off Grid Inverters' on the Solis website, open both the Hybrid and Off-grid line and Grid-tied line pages to see if your model is listed in either section.

A dedicated monitoring-only Modbus TCP connection preserves the existing measurements without sending operating commands. Request this connection explicitly when another system must retain control.
