To connect the inverter to the Sofar EMS, you must use the RS232 interface. This is distinct from the RS485 connection used by many other inverters.

Distance Limit RS232 cables are designed for short distances. The cable length should generally not exceed 15 meters. If the inverter is located far away from the controller, this connection method may not be reliable.
