Modbus TCP

Connect the inverter's LAN port to your local network.
Default port: 502.
The Modbus unit ID must be set between 1–247 (default 1).

RS485

RS485 Wiring

For correct RS485 wiring: follow the RS485 wiring guidelines.
If the wiring shown in the table below is incorrect, please let us know.
There is no general industry consensus on the use of A and B for RS485 polarity, so the naming may be counterintuitive for some devices.

FlexAmp

The FlexAmp series communicates exclusively over RS485.

Configuration

NOTE: RS485 Device Addresses

You MUST give each device a unique address on the RS485 bus. Check the device manual for instructions.
Use lower addresses first (1, 2, ...) because the Sofar EMS will find them faster!
For each device, it is generally recommended to keep the factory-default baud rate, parity, and stop bits. The Sofar EMS will scan those first.

Set the Modbus address (slave ID) between 1–247 in the device menu.
Each device on the RS485 bus must have a unique address.

FlexAmp Setup

During device scanning or manual configuration, you will be prompted:

"What is included in the installation?"

Option	When to select
Solar panels and battery (default)	Both PV and battery are installed
Only solar panels	No battery is present
Only battery	No PV is present

Select the option that matches your installation. An incorrect selection will result in missing or incorrect measurements.

Control

Dysun Hybrid

The inverter supports battery control:

Charge mode: Set charge current in amperes
Discharge mode: Set discharge power as a percentage of nominal power
When smart grid control is disabled, the inverter returns to autonomous operation

Caution

Experimental Control features for the Dysun Hybrid have not been validated on live hardware.

FlexAmp

The FlexAmp series supports PV curtailment — the controller can limit the maximum solar production power in real time.

The active power limit is written as a percentage of nominal power.
When smart grid control is disabled, the device reverts to its configured local settings (typically unrestricted output).
Curtailment applies to the total production of all connected PV strings.
